Sitaphal Dishes
Sitaphal Creamy Pudding
Ingredients:

1 cup sitaphal pulp
1 packet china grass
1 cup boiling water
500 gms. cream cheese
1 cup fresh cream or beaten malai
3/4 cup sugar ground or castor sugar

Method:

  1. Cut china grass into small pieces if in sheet form.
  2. Dissolve china grass in hot water till, over very low flame.
  3. Keep aside, stirring every now and then, till cool.
  4. In a large bowl, put cream cheese, china grass, sugar.
  5. Beat with an electric handblender till smooth and light.
  6. Fold in fresh cream and sitaphal pulp.
  7. Run two three short strokes again with blender.
  8. Pour into a pudding dish and set till firm.
  9. Serve well set and chilled.

Note: One may garnish the pudding with chopped walnuts, pistachios,etc. when almost but not completely set.

Making time: 20 minutes (except setting time)
Makes: 5-6 servings
Shelflife: 2 days refrigerated
