Teas
Brewed Or Pot Tea
Ingredients:

1 tea set (teapot, milk pourer, sugarpot)
3 tsp. tea leaves (orange pekoe variety)
3-1/2 cups water
1 cup milk
Sugar in pot

Method:

  1. Place tea leaves in a very thin muslin bag or cloth.
  2. Tie cloth into a loose pouch.
  3. Tie a twine to the bag, and let hang outside pot.
  4. Place bag or pouch into tea pot.
  5. Boil water, pour over teabag, cover with lid.
  6. Stand for 5 minutes.
  7. Agitate bag with twine every now and then.
  8. Pour boiling hot milk into pourer.
  9. To every cup, add desired sugar.
  10. Pour decoction from pot, holding strainer over cup.
  11. Add milk as desired, place spoon in saucer and serve.
  12. Stir, and blend ingredients.
  13. Serve hot with biscuits, cookies, etc.

Note:
Tea leaves can be directly placed in pot, but cleaning get tedious, and pot spout clogs every now and then.

Making time: 8-10 minutes
Makes: 4 cups brew
