Menus and their Selection
Sample Menu - 2

This menu is for those who are ailing or have to watch the sugar and calories. (Please note that there is a general effort to keep the calories down, no count has been done to measure them. This holds good for any of the combinations listed).

Sample:

  • 1 bowl mixed vegetable, beetroot, or other light soup
  • 2-3 phulkas
  • 1 cup stir fried or boiled veggies (change combinations and seasoning - try quick ridge gourd or other vegetable made similarly)
  • 2 cups steamed moothias (refer weight watchers)
  • 1 cup kadhi
  • 1 cup salad or doodhi raita
  • 1/2 cup moong dal khichidi (instead of moothias)
  • Chicoo, carrot or doodhi halwa if it is a special occasion

For calorie conscious people, one can omi papads, pickles, bhajjias and other fried farsans from the menus. Alternatively one can keep any one of them.

For weighwatchers puris, parathas and naans are avoided.
