Christmas is always magical and is a festival of traditions. More than the festive day, it is always the fun had on Christmas Eve that is memorable.
Be it for kids or for adults, there are a lot of fun traditions to be followed on Christmas Eve. From hanging the stocking to writing a letter to Santa, we all have done that anticipating that Santa may visit our house and leave us with loads and loads of presents.

Tracking Santa Claus
Yessss! You heard it right! We can actually track our dear Santa and find out what he is up to. You can track his progress through the day and evening, this would be a great way to build up the anticipation of his arrival.
Hang Up The Stockings
One of the most followed traditions is to hang some stockings with the wish list on the Christmas tree or near the mantle before going to bed. And dream of Santa filling the stockings with the gifts.
Wrap The Presents
There can't be a Christmas without presents. So wrap your kid’s presents and keep them under the tree. Your kids will rush to the tree first thing on Christmas morning to take their presents.
Last Minute Decorations
Christmas decorations starts well ahead of the festive day but the last day to finish your decorations is on Christmas Eve.
So do all your final touches to the decorations on this day and you will be all set to welcome Santa and his elves to your beautifully decorated house.
Light up colorful scented candles to add to the festive celebrations. Enjoy their colors, aromas and light as they add a touch of magic to a wonderful time of year.
Snacks For Santa And Rudolph
Santa gets super tired hoping from every house. So it would be thoughtful of you if you keep some food and drink for Santa when he drops by.
Well, that’s the tradition, to help Santa keep his strength up on his busy night, Sugar cookies or mince pies and some drinks are kept ready for him. And not to forget milk and carrots for Rudolph too.
Write A Letter To Santa
A letter to Santa is something that every kid loves to it. So ask you child to write a letter to Santa and leave it under the Christmas tree.
Attend Christmas Service
The Christmas Eve service at your nearby church is something that cannot be missed. Take you family to a church and sit through the service either in the afternoon or at midnight. Indulge yourself into the lovely festive atmosphere.
Watch Your Favourite Movie With Family
What better time to gather you family and watch some all-time favourite Christmas movies.
Be it 'A Christmas Tale' or 'Life Of Brian' or any of your favourite family movie, Team it up with some hot chocolate or cookies and enjoy.
A Walk Down The Lane
After all the running around preparing for Christmas, take a walk around your neighbourhood before hitting the bed. It would be fun to see all the sparkling houses decorated with lights on Christmas Eve. Come back home and a good night's sleep is guaranteed.
Santa Writes Back
After your kids go to sleep. Don't forget to fill up their stockings and write a letter to them from Santa. You could mention the good deeds your kids have done and encouraging them to continue their efforts.
The happiness on your kids face when they open their presents or read the letter from Santa will be priceless.
