Description: 
Star Anise is a star shaped pod of an evergreen tree seen in Japan and China with the flavour of anise. It is dark brown in colour and hardy. This is mainly used in meat dishes and is also an ingredient in making garam  masala.

Commonly used in: 
Cooking purpose and also for medicinal purpose.

Health Benefits: 
Star anise oil has anti fungal and anti bacterial properties. These are rich in antioxidants also.
