Burgers and Rolls
Burgers in Tortillas

Ingredients

4 tortillas
2 tomatoes, chopped finely
1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves
1/4 cup chopped onion

For Burgers:
1/2 kg ground chicken
1 onion, chopped finely
1 garlic cloves, crushed
1 capsicum, chopped finely
1/2 cup boiled peas
1/2 cup chopped carrots, boiled
1 tbsp lemon juice
3 green chillies, chopped finely
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp chat masala
Salt as per taste

For Salsa Sauce (can use readymade):
3 medium tomatoes
1 minced garlic cloves
2 tbsp chopped onion
1/2 tsp oil
1/2 tsp sugar
1 green chilli, chopped finely
2 tsp lemon juice
Salt as per taste
1/8 tsp black pepper

Method for Salsa:

  1. Put tomatoes in boiling water.
  2. Cover for 2 min
  3. Remove tomatoes from water and remove the skin
  4. Blend it in processor
  5. Add in processor the rest of ingredients
  6. Blend till they are coarsely chopped
  7. Remove and keep aside

Method for Burgers:

  1. Coarsely smash peas and carrots
  2. Mix all the burgers ingredients well
  3. Make 4 patties of the mixture
  4. Grill the patties for 8-10 mins on each side
  5. When are burgers are almost cooked, heat the tortilla (wrapped in aluminum foil) for 30 seconds
  6. Place burgers on the tortillas
  7. Pour some salsa sauce, chopped onion, tomatoes
  8. Wrap the tortilla around the filling
  9. Garnish with coriander leaves
  10. Serve with shredded cabbage leaves
