Burgers and Rolls
Pizza Burgers

Ingredients

4 rounds breads
1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
onion slices
1/2 dried oregano

For Pizza Sauce:
1/2 cup tomato puree
3 garlic flakes
1/2 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp red chilli crushed
1/8 tsp dried oregano
1/8 tsp cinnamon powder
1 tbsp cornflour
1 tbsp butter
Salt to taste

For Burgers:
1/2 kg lean minced meat
1/2 cup finely chopped capsicum
1/2 onion, minced
1 tbsp tomato puree
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
1/2 cup boiled corn kernels
Salt as per taste

Method for Sauce:

  1. Heat butter in pan
  2. Add tomato puree, bring to boil
  3. Pound together garlic, chilli powder, salt, cinnamon powder
  4. Add all ingredients except cornflour, simmer for 5 minutes
  5. Mix cornflour in 1/4 cup water to make smooth paste
  6. Add to the boiling sauce, stirring continuously to avoid lumps
  7. Stir and cook till thick enough to spread on pizza bread
  8. Cool, stirring occasionally, to avoid surface from drying up
  9. Use how much required, rest can be stored in freezer for further use

Method for Pizza Burgers:

  1. Brown meat in a skillet
  2. Add rest of the ingredients of the burgers
  3. Simmer for 10 minutes
  4. Remove and let it cool a bit
  5. Make 4 burgers of the mixture
  6. Butter the breads
  7. Place it on baking tray
  8. Spread pizza sauce over it
  9. Place 1 burger on each bread
  10. Garnish with mozzarella cheese
  11. Top with onion slices
  12. Bake of 15 mins untill cheese has melted
  13. You can top the pizza with mushroom, capsicum
  14. Serve with french fries
