Dips and Spreads
Tuna Dip

Ingredients

1 cup tuna, cooked and flaked
2 tbsp plain flour
1 cup milk
2 tbsp butter
1/2 cup tomato puree
1/4 cup capsicum, chopped finely
1/4 cup onion, grated
2 garlic flakes, minced
4 green chillies, chopped finely
1-1/2 cup cheese, grated
1/4 tsp black pepper powder
1/2 tsp hot pepper sauce
Salt as per taste

Method:

  1. Heat butter in a pan
  2. Add flour and roast for 3 minutes
  3. Add onion and garlic and simmer for 3-4 minutes
  4. Pour milk stirring continuously
  5. After it boils add 1 cup cheese
  6. Stir till cheese melts
  7. Add tomato puree and let it boil
  8. Add capsicum
  9. Let it boil till thickens
  10. Add remaining cheese and cook till it melts
  11. Add tuna, salt, pepper, pepper sauce
  12. Blend it well
  13. Remove from fire
  14. Serve with crackers / chips
