Dips and Spreads
Meat Dip

Ingredients

2 cups mince meat
2 onions, chopped
1 garlic flakes, crushed
1/4 tsp chilli sauce (optional)
1-1/2 cup tomato juice
1/2 tomato puree
1 cup cheese (pref velvetta or cheddar)
1/8 tsp oregano
Salt as per taste
1/4 tsp black pepper powder
1 tbsp butter

Method:

  1. Heat butter in a pan
  2. Fry onion till transparent
  3. Add meat and crushed garlic
  4. Simmer till meat is brown
  5. Add tomato juice, tomato puree
  6. Add oregano, salt, pepper and chilli sauce
  7. Stir for 2-3 minutes
  8. Add cheese and cook till it melts and till desired thickness is achieved
  9. Serve with tortila chips or nacho chips
