Fish Dishes
Fish in Mustard Sauce

Ingredients

2 white fish fillets
3 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 spring spring onions, chopped finely

For Mustard Sauce:
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp cornflour
3 tbsp dijon mustard
1 cup milk
Salt as per taste

Method:

  1. Clean the fillets and make into serving pieces
  2. Marinate with salt and turmeric powder
  3. Keep aside for 1/2 hour
  4. Heat oil in a pan
  5. Put the fish pieces and let it cook, stirring occassionaly
  6. Cook till fish flakes easily
  7. Remove and drain the fish fillets
  8. Arrange in the casserole
  9. Heat butter in a pan
  10. Add cornflour and stir continuously till smooth
  11. Add milk and stir
  12. Cook till it thickens
  13. Add salt and mustard and cook for 3-4 minutes
  14. Remove from fire
  15. Pour the mustard sauce over the fillets
  16. Garnish with with chopped spring onions
