Fish Dishes
Catfish Casserole

Ingredients

Bread slices
2 cups catfish fillets
1 cup corn kernels, half-boiled
2 cups milk
1/2 cup chopped capsicum
1/4 cup chopped onion
4 tbsp butter
2 tbsp maida
3/4 cup grated cheese
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 cup cooked spaghetti
Black pepper as per taste
Salt as per taste

Method:

  1. Clean the fillets
  2. Heat 2 tbsp butter
  3. Cook the fillets till flake
  4. Remove and keep aside
  5. Heat remaining 2 tbsp butter
  6. Add flour and roast for 3-4 minutes
  7. Add milk and stir continuously, to avoid lumps
  8. When thickens, add capsicum, onion, salt and pepper
  9. Add corn kernels and fish fillets
  10. Mix well and remove from fire
  11. Toast the bread
  12. Arrange in the casserole
  13. Spread cooked spaghetti over it
  14. Spread the fish mixture over it
  15. Garnish with grated cheese
  16. Finally sprinkle bread crumbs over it
  17. Bake at 350 degree F for 45 mins. (till brown)
