Goan Dishes
Tisrya Pulao

Ingredients

2 cups basamati rice
1 cup shell fish
1 onion chopped finely
1 tomato chopped finely
3 green chillies, grounded
4 kashmiri red chillies
3 bay leaves
3 cloves
1" cinnamon
4 cardamos
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder 3 tbsp oil
Salt as per taste

Method:

  1. Wash and soak rice for 1/2 hour
  2. Heat oil in a pan
  3. Fry cloves, cardamomns, bay leaves, cinnamon and kashmiri chillies
  4. Add green chilli paste and stir for a minute
  5. Fry onions till golden brown
  6. Add chopped tomatoes and simmer for 2 minutes
  7. Add shell fish and fry for 5 minutes
  8. Add salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and fry for 10 minutes
  9. Add rice and and 2-1/2 cups of water and cover the pan
  10. Cook till rice is done
  11. Serve hot
