750 gms Potatoes
2 Onions
1/2 Sour lime
2 tbsp Oil
1 Carrot
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp sugar
bread crumbs
100 gms fresh beans
100 gms green peas
1/4 cup small mushrooms
4-5 green chillies
few coriander leaves
3 tbsp green chutneyMethod
- Boil the potatoes.
- Dice and boil rest of the vegetables.
- Peel and mash the potatoes.
- Add salt to the mashed potatoes.
- Fry the onion in 2 tbsp oil till golden brown.
- Put the boiled vegetables, mushrooms and cook for a while.
- Season with finely chopped green chillies, lemon, sugar, salt and coriander leaves.
- Grind the ingredients for the chutney.
- Divide potato into 3 parts, chutney and vegetables in 2 parts.
- Grease a pie dish.
- Pour a layer of mashed potato then chutney
- Then vegetables again in layer of potatoes and repeat layers finishing with potato.
- Sprinkle with bread crumbs over it and dot with butter.
- Bake in a moderate oven for 30-40 minutes or till done or brown in color.
- Serve hot
