The authors Shyam Rani Kilam and S. S. Kaul Kilam hail from Srinagar, Kashmir and currently live in Dehradun. They have meticulously put together recipes for more than 200 popular Kashmiri dishes, along with a Guide to Healthy Eating, in their book: "De Leij - Culinary Art of Kashmir"
As per their wishes, the income from the sale of this book is to be humbly donated to the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (Deemed University), Puttaparthy for the purpose of scholarships to deserving post-graduate students.
