Mango Dishes
Shrimp-Mango Curry

Ingredients

  1/2 kg medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 tbsp oil
1/2 tbsp ginger paste
1/2 tbsp garlic paste
1/2 tbsp cumin powder
1/2 tbsp coriander powder
1 tbsp curry powder
2-3 green chillies, chopped finely
Salt as per taste
Pepper as per taste
1 ripe mango, peeled and diced
2 potatoes, peeled and cubed
1 cup coconut milk
1 cup water
Chopped Coriander leaves for garnishing

Method:

  1. Season shrimp with salt and pepper
  2. Heat oil
  3. Saute shrimp for 2-3 minutes
  4. Remove, drain and keep aside
  5. In the same pan (add little oil, if it is less), saute onion till transparent
  6. Add ginger and garlic paste, saute for another 3 minutes
  7. Add all the powders, potatoes, and green chillies
  8. Then add coconut milk, salt as per taste, and water
  9. Bring it to boil
  10. Let it simmer on slow flame for 10-15 minutes till potatoes are tender
  11. Add shrimp and mango pieces
  12. Cook for another 5 minutes
  13. Garnish with coriander leaves
  14. Serve hot with rice
