Ramadan Dishes
Fish Baked in Sesame Sauce

Ingredients

2 lbs. fish fillets
1 tsp. salt 
1/4 cup olive oil (any vegetable oil)
1/3 cup lemon juice  1/2 cup water 
1/2 cup tahini 
1/2 cup chopped onion

Method

 

  1. Clean and salt fish.
  2. Rub with 1 tbsp olive oil.
  3. Bake uncovered at 350oc about 15 minutes until fish flakes when tested with a fork.
  4. Gradually stir lemon juice and water into tahini.
  5. Add more lemon to taste.
  6. Fry the chopped onion in 3 tbsp oil until yellow and pour over baked fish.
  7. Bake uncovered at 350oc for 15 minutes.
  8. Serve hot or cold.
