Ramadan Dishes
Baked Fish

Ingredients

1 pound fish fillets 3/4 inch thick or small whole fish
1/2 cup milk
2 tsp. salt
dry breadcrumbs
1 tbsp salad oil or melted butter

Method

  1. Let the fish stay at room temperature 15 minutes so that it will not be icy cold.
  2. Set the oven at 500 degrees.
  3. Mix 1/2 cup milk 2 tsp. salt.
  4. Dip the fish in it, then in plenty of dry breadcrumbs to make a thick coating.
  5. Put in an oiled baking pan or on an ovenproof platter.
  6. Sprinkle with 1 tbsp salad oil or melted butter.
  7. Bake uncovered, until the fish flakes when tested with a fork (about 10 minutes).
  8. Serve with tartar sauce
