One kilo of lean mince
1/2 kilo of spicy sausages
4 big tomatoes
4 big onions
10 cloves of garlic
1 cup of black beans( soaked overnight in water to soften)
2 tsp cumin powder
2 tsp paparika
2 tsp oregano
a large variety of peppers (red, green, etc) chopped into 1" squaresMethod:
- Saute the onions,till nice and brown.
- Add the garlic and tomatoes.
- Once the tomatoes are liquidified, add the sausages and fry well.
- Add the mince and salt to taste and cook.
- Once the beef is almost cooked, add the peppers and spices and simmer for an hour over a low flame.
Tips :
- The longer you simmer it the better it tastes!
- And it is even better the day after you make it.
- You can add a soup cube for additional flavour if you like.
