By Shireen Das(Also called as Vinaigrette Dressing)
Ingredients
5 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp vinegar
1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper
2 tbsp finely chopped hard-boiled eggs (optional)Method:
- Mix all the ingredients except oil in a bowl
- Blend all the ingredients well
- Gradually add oil beating with oil continuously
- Chill it for at least 1/2 hour
Variations:
Instead of eggs you can use any of the following ingredients
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 1 onion, chopped finely
- 1 tsp chopped gherkins
- 1/2 tsp crushed dried thyme
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley
- 2 tbsp crumbled cheese
- 2 tbsp chicken broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Instead of vinegar can use lemon juice
