Salads
Molded Salad

Ingredients

2 tbsp gelatin

Mix together:
4 cups tomato juice
1/4 tsp crushed ginger
1/4 tsp garlic paste
1/4 tsp pepper powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp chilli sauce
1/2 tsp cummin seed powder
Salt as per taste

Make a mixture of:
1 cup finely chopped boiled eggs
1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
1/4 cup chopped capsicum
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp vinegar

Method:

  1. Add 2 tbsp gelatin in 1/2 cup tomato juice
  2. Bring to boil remaining 3-1/2 cups tomato juice
  3. Add the dissolved gelatin in boiling juice
  4. Add the remaining mixed ingredients
  5. Stir well
  6. Let it boil for 2 min
  7. Remove from fire
  8. Pour in a mold
  9. Let it get set, refrigerate for 10 hours
  10. Unmold and serve
