8 firm tomatoes
150 gms minced meat
1 onion
4 green chillies, chopped
2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp chilli powder
1 cup bread crumbs
6 tbsp grated cheese
2 tbsp oil
Salt as per tasteMethod:
- Cut off the tops of the tomatoes and scoop out the insides carefully
- Keep aside the pulp
- Rub the insides with salt and place tomatoes facing down
- Chop the onion and green chillies and fry till golden brown
- Add the minced meat and fry for few more minutes
- Now add ginger-garlic paste and tomato pulp and fry for 3 mins.
- Add turmeric, chilli powder and Salt and fry for 3-4 mins.
- Allow to cook till meat is tender and dry
- Allow to cool
- Fill each scooped tomato with the mixture
- Cover the top with bread crumbs and grated cheese
- Bake at 170 o C for 20 -25 mins.
- Serve with French fries.
