1/2 kg mutton, chopped
2 potatoes, quartered
2 carrots chopped in big pieces
2 onions, chopped
1/2" ginger
5 garlic flakes
4 green chillies, slit lengthwise
5 cloves
2 bay leaves
6 black pepper
1/2" cinnamon
2 cardamoms
1/4 tsp black pepper powder
1/2 tsp maida
1/4 tsp vinegar
2 cups coconut milk
2 tbsp oil
Salt as per tasteMethod:
- In a small pan heat 1 tbsp oil
- Fry onions till golden brown
- Add ginger-garlic paste, green chillies, bay leaves, cloves, cardamon, black pepper, cinnamon.
- Saute for 5 minutes
- Remove the fried masala from fire and keep aside
- In a big pan, heat the remaining oil
- Add flour and saute for 3 minutes
- Add mutton pieces and simmer for 5 minutes
- Add 3/4th of coconut milk and vinegar and let it cook till meat pieces are 1/2 cooked
- Add potatoes, carrot and and fried masala
- Add salt and pepper powder
- Let it cook till vegetables are tender and meat is completely cooked
- Add the remaining coconut milk
- Let it boil for 2 minutes
- Remove from fire
- Garnish with corriander leaves
- Serve hot
