Ingredients

  • Lemon size - Tamarind; soak and extract juice in 2 cups of water
  • 1 - Tomato, finely chopped
  • 1 Clove - Garlic (optional)
  • 1 pinch - Asafoetida
  • 1/4 tsp - Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp - Asafoetida (powdered fine)
  • 1/2 tsp - Sambar powder
  • Curry leaves
  • Coriander leaves; chopped fine
  • Salt to taste.
  • How to Make 5 Minute Rasam:

    1. Mix all the above ingredients. Bring to a boil.
    2. It's ready!
    3. Keep covered till ready to serve (to retain flavour).
