  • 1 cup - Rice
  • 1 cup - Urad Dal
  • 1 cup - tur dal
  • 1 cup - masoor dal
  • 1 cup - moong dal
  • 1 cup - moth dal
  • 3 - Red Chillies
  • Coriander leaves - few
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Adai with Dals:

    1. Soak the rice, urad dal, tur dal, moong dal, modh and 3 green chillies overnight.
    2. In the morning grind the soaked ingredients and add salt and coriander leaves in the batter. Your batter for adai is ready.
    3. Now take a tava (flat bottom pan) and heat it with little oil in it.
    4. When the tava is hot enough then take the batter and spread it in the pan as thick as possible in a round shape.
    5. When one side of the adai is cooked it will turn golden brown.
    6. Then turn the adai into the other side and cook the other side until it turns golden brown.
    7. Now your adai is ready and you can serve it with butter or jaggery when hot.
