Ingredients

  • Rice - 1/2 cup
  • Milk - 2 cups
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Water - 1/4 cup
  • Saffron - few strands
  • Cardamom - 5
  • Cashewnuts - 5
  • How to Make Akara Vadisal:

    1. Roast the rice for 5 mins and pressure cook it with milk. Mash the rice.
    2. In a saucepan, heat sugar with water.
    3. When the syrup thickens, add the mashed rice.
    4. Cut the cashew nuts and fry them.
    5. Powder the cardamom.
    6. Add the fried cashew nuts and cardamom to the above mixture.
    7. Heat the saffron strands in 1 tbsp milk and add it.
