  • 1 kg. dates, pitted
  • 1 kg. plain flour
  • 500 gms. Butter or Ghee
  • 100 gms. each, chopped walnuts, slivered Almonds and cashews and pinenuts
  • 20 gms. Cardamom powder
  • 20 gms. Ginger powder
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 2 strawberries
  • How to Make Al Batith:

    1. Heat butter or ghee in a large saucepan and sauté flour on low heat till brown, approximately 20 mins.
    2. Add dates and ginger and cardamom powders.
    3. Mix well and take it off the heat.
    4. Let it cool, then add all the nuts.
    5. Refrigerate till cold.
    6. Garnish with orange and strawberries and serve.
