Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • 2 inch piece - ginger, very finely chopped
  • 1 - green chilli, very finely chopped
  • 4 tbsp - grated Coconut
  • 1 tbsp - water
  • 3 tsp - yogurt
  • For seasoning: 2 tsp - oil
  • 1 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 4 - Curry leaves

How to Make Alle

  • Make a fine paste of grated coconut with 1 tbsp of water.
  • In a pan, heat oil. Add very finely chopped ginger and green chilli and fry on medium to low heat until it is golden in colour and crisp. Keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds to it. When they crackle, add jeera and curry leaves to it.
  • Saute on low heat for 2 - 3 minutes until it is fragrant and crisp. Switch off the heat.
  • Add grated coconut paste, fried ginger and green chilli and mix it together. Add 3 tsp of curd to it. Gently mix all the ingredients.
  • Serve it with rice.
