Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Rice (cooked with 1 tsp oil and 1 tsp salt)
  • 2 - medium Potatoes cooked, peeled and cubed
  • 2 - Tomatoes chopped
  • 1 - Green Pepper cut small
  • 2 tsp - Peanuts/Cashew (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric
  • For seasoning:
  • 1/2 tsp - Mustard, 1/4 tsp - Hing
  • Ground powder:
  • 1 tsp - Channa Dal
  • 1 tsp - Urad Dal
  • 4/5 - Dry Red Chilli
  • 1 stick - Curry leaves
  • 1 inch - Cinnamon stick
  • 2 -Cloves
  • 2-Cardamoms
  • Marble - sized Tamarind
  • 3 tsp - Desiccated Coconut
  • Garnish: Green Coriander leaves
  • How to Make Aloo Bhatt:

    1. Heat 2 tsps oil, and add mustard, hing, nuts. Fry till golden brown.
    2. Put in potatoes, green pepper and turmeric, fry for 3 mins.
    3. Add tomatoes, salt and cook for 2 mins.
    4. Add the ground powder mix.
    5. Add rice, mix well and garnish with green coriander.
