  • 2 - medium potatoes, chopped
  • 3 - large karelas, chopped
  • 4 - onions
  • 3 - green chillies
  • 4 tsp - refined oil
  • 1/4 tsp - aamchur powder
  • Garam masala
  • Cumin seeds
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Aloo Karela Subzi

  • Take oil in kadai. When it gets heated, add cumin seeds and chopped karelas, potatoes, onions and green chillies.
  • Cover and cook this mixture on low flame. Keep stirring every 3 to 4 minutes.
  • When the karelas start getting golden brown, add salt as per taste to the mixture and again cover the kadai.
  • After 2 to 3 minutes, add garam masala and amchur powder.
  • Serve with chapattis or parathas.
