Ingredients

  • 1 cup - fresh Green peas
  • 1 - medium sized ,boiled Potato cut into cubes
  • 1/4 tsp - Asafoetida
  • 1 cup - water
  • 1/2 cup - Dahi
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • Chilli powder to taste
  • A pinch of Turmeric powder
  • Freshly chopped Coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp - cooking oil
  • How to Make Aloo Matar in Dahi:

    1. Heat the cooking oil in a kadai and add cumin seeds.
    2. Once the cumin seeds are fried, add asafoetida, coriander powder, chilli powder and turmeric powder.
    3. Saute for a minute.
    4. Add water, fresh peas and salt to taste.
    5. When the peas are cooked, add cubed potato and bring to a boil.
    6. Do not allow the mixture to get thick.
    7. Add a little more water if required.
    8. Take off the flame and add the dahi and stir.
    9. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
