Ingredients

  • 4 - potatoes, large
  • 200g - peas
  • 5 to 6 tbsp - grated Coconut
  • 5 to 6 - Cashew nuts
  • 1 - tomato, large
  • 2 - onions, large
  • 1 tbsp - Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1/2 tbsp - chilli powder
  • 1/4 tbsp - Garam Masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Aloo Mutter Masala:

    1. Boil potatoes and cut them into cubes.
    2. Boil peas separately.
    3. Grind coconut, cashew nuts and tomato into a fine paste.
    4. Chop onions finely.
    5. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
    6. After the cumin seeds begin to splutter add ginger garlic paste.
    7. Fry the paste till oil separates and add onions.
    8. Fry onions till golden brown, add red chilli powder, garam masala powder, salt, and turmeric powder.
    9. Add the boiled potatoes, and the coconut paste and allow it to boil.
    10. Add water according to the required consistency.
    11. Cook for ten minutes and serve with rice, roti or naan.
