How to Make Amla ka Pickle

  • Wash and dry amla.
  • Take 1/4 kg of oil in a non-stick pan, heat the oil and add red chillies first.
  • Let them become slightly brown and then add rai, jeera, urad dal, methi seeds, curry leaves, asafoetida.
  • When the rai pops, add amla into the pan.
  • Add salt and cook amla on low flame.
  • Cover it with a plate and pour some water on the plate.
  • Cook until the amla is soft and you can press the seeds out.
  • Leave aside to cool.
  • Add chilli powder and mix well. Amla achar is ready for use.
