Ingredients

  • 6 - hard boiled eggs, shelled
  • 2 - onions, chopped
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp - ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1/2 cup - Tomato puree
  • 2 pieces - Cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp - Vinegar
  • 1 tsp - Sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • How to Make Anglo Indian Egg Vindaloo:

    1. Heat oil in a pan and saute the onions till golden brown.
    2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and cinnamon and fry for some time.
    3. Add the chilli powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, sugar and tomato puree and fry till the oil separates from the masala.
    4. Now add the vinegar and a little water and bring to boil
    5. Reduce heat and simmer till the gravy is sufficiently thick
    6. Cut the boiled eggs into halves and carefully drop into the gravy
    7. Simmer for a few mins
    8. Take out the egg halves and place on a serving dish
    9. Pour the thick gravy over the eggs . Serve hot.
