  • 200 gms - arbi (yam)
  • 100 gms - grated Carrots
  • 100 gms - fresh Spinach leaves, finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp. - gram flour (besan)
  • 2 green chillies, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp - roasted cumin powder
  • 1-2 tsp - Lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp. - oil
  • oil for deep frying
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Arbi, carrots and spinach tikkies:

    1. Boil the arbi till tender. Cool and peel to remove skin. Grate finely and place in a mixing bowl.
    2. Add the remaining ingredients and mix with your fingers. Also add 1 tbsp. oil. Shape into round or elongated tikkies.
    3. Heat oil and deep fry tikkies, a few at a time till crisp and golden brown.
    4. Wrap in a foil to keep warm. Clubbed with a sandwich these can serve as a full meal.
