How to Make Baalekayi Paladya( Raw Banana in Yogurt Gravy)

  • Peel and chop raw bananas into 1 inch cubes. Boil in salt water until cooked.
  • Grind coconut, cumin, coriander seeds, green chillies and a tsp mustard seeds into a smooth paste and add the paste to the cooked raw banana pieces and boil well.
  • Remove from fire and add salt, yogurt and mix well.
  • For seasoning, heat oil in a wok, splutter mustard seeds and add curry leaves and asafoetida.
  • Serve.
