  • 250 g - tiger prawns, cleaned and de-veined
  • Salt and Lime juice for marinating
  • Thin bacon strips (one for each prawn)
  • 1/2 tsp - paprika powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp - pepper powder
  • 4 tbsp - Oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp - Garlic paste
  • Ghee or clarified Butter
  • 2 tbsp - barbeque sauce
  • How to Make Bacon-flavoured Grilled Jumbo Prawns:

    1. Marinate the prawns in salt and lime juice.
    2. Heat clarified butter and fry the bacon strips in it.
    3. When they are almost done, splash barbeque sauce into them along with paprika powder.
    4. Toss and open fry for a minute on each side.
    5. Wash the prawns, drain and pat them with a paper napkin.
    6. Toss them into a mixture of the powdered spices, salt, oyster sauce and garlic paste.
    7. Wrap a bacon strip around each prawn and pass a tooth-pick or wooden skewer through it.
    8. Grill them until they're done.
    9. Smear lime juice on them.
    10. Serve with some tartar sauce, garlic sauce, lemon wedges and potato chips or fries.
