Ingredients

  • 3 cups - milk
  • 1/4 cup - rice
  • 6 - cashew nuts
  • 6 - pista
  • 8 - almonds
  • 5 tbsp - jaggery
  • 1/2 tsp - cardamom powder

How to Make Badam Ki Phirni

  • Soak pista and almond in hot water for 5 mins.
  • Drain, peel and cut pista into thin strips.
  • Crush almond into small pieces.
  • Soak rice for half an hour.
  • Drain and grind to a smooth paste.
  • Dilute in 1/2 cup water.
  • Boil milk. Lower heat and add rice paste and almond paste, cook for 8 mins till it is thick.
  • Add jaggery, cashew and cardamom powder.
  • Lower heat and cook till jaggery is dissolved. Remove from heat.
  • Serve chilled, garnished with pista.
