Ingredients

  • 1/2 sliced - banana flower
  • 1 - small carrot thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp - basil
  • 2 - lemons
  • 1/2 - dry red chilli crushed
  • 1/2 tsp - sugar
  • 1 tsp - peanuts
  • For garnishing-
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 - sweet chilli
  • 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup - water
  • 1 tbsp - sugar caramelised
  • Coriander leaves

How to Make Banana flower salad

  • Clean and slice the banana flowers.
  • Soak in water with the juice of one lemon to keep it from turning brown.
  • Squeeze the water out of the banana flower and set it on top of the basil and carrot.
  • For the dressing, mix all ingredients and chill.
  • Add a spoon or more of crushed peanuts to the banana flower.
  • Add the juice of one lemon, the chilli and 3-4 tbsp of the dressing.
