How to Make Banana flower with Moong dal n fish head
Chop onions into slices and potato and brinjals into cubes.
Prepare the banana flowers and boil for 5 to 6 minutes, keep aside.
Dry roast moong dal, keep aside.
Fry the fish head, keep aside.
In a cooker, add moong dal, banana flowers and potato with 5 cups of water, turmeric powder and salt. Pressure cook for 4-5 minutes. Or cook till the dal is 80 percent cooked in a large wide-bottomed pan.
Heat 1.5 tbsp oil in a large wide-bottomed pan and add panch foron.
Once it starts to splutter, add bay leaf and ginger paste and fry.
Add green chillies and onion and fry till translucent.
Add the fish head, mix well with the spices.
Add brinjal and cook for another 2 minutes.
Add the moong dal and banana flower gravy.
Cover the lid and cook for another 10-12 minutes. Gravy should be semi-consistent. Add another cup of water if required.
Sprinkle cardamom powder and turn off the flame.
