  • Banana (ripe) 3-4
  • Maida flour -2 cups (or as much needed)
  • Sugar (powdered)- 2 cups
  • Cooking Soda -1/2 pinch (optional)
  • Cardamoms- 1/2 tsp

How to Make Banana Jamun

  • Cut banana into small pieces and mash to make a paste.
  • Mix banana, maida, sugar and soda well with a little water. Knead into a smooth dough.
  • Make small round balls from the dough.
  • Fry slowly in hot oil or ghee. Remove when it turns golden brown color.
  • Soak these jamun in hot sugar syrup. Drain after 10 mins. Cool and serve. For Syrup: Add 2 cups sugar, 2 cups water. Boil for 10 minutes till it reaches 1 string consistency.
