How to Make Banana Topping

  • Pressure cook bananas with skins for 1 whistle (or boil till tender).
  • Cool a little, peel, grate and keep aside
  • Mash the peas
  • Heat oil and add mustard seeds and let it splutter
  • Add curry leaves, red chillies and grated bananas
  • Add green chillies, peas, tomatoes, turmeric powder, garam masala, amchoor powder and salt
  • Mix it well
  • Take from fire and let it cool
  • Make six portions of the mixture
  • Butter each bread slice on both sides
  • Spread one portion of mixture on one slice
  • Sprinkle some sesame seeds
  • Repeat for all the slices
  • Bake in hot oven at 220 degrees C for 5-6 minutes or till toasts are crisp
  • Cut each slice into half, before serving.
  • Serve hot with ketchup and crushed paprika
