Ingredients

  • 2 cups - malai
  • 2 cups - onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 10 flakes garlic
  • 1 piece ginger, peeled
  • 5 green chillies
  • 1 tbsp - coriander leaves, chopped
  • 10 to 12 cashewnuts
  • ¼ tsp - turmeric powder
  • 3 tsp - ghee
  • salt to taste

How to Make Basic Malai Korma

  • Make a smooth paste of ginger and garlic.
  • Break cashew nuts into small bits.
  • Heat ghee, fry cashew nuts, drain and keep aside.
  • In the same hot ghee, add chopped onions, fry for 2 mins.
  • Add ground paste, salt, green chillies and turmeric powder.
  • Add tomato and cook till oil separates from the gravy.
  • Add cream, stir and cook well.
  • Simmer for 2 mins.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and fried cashew bits.
  • Serve hot with roti or naan.
