Ingredients

  • 2 cups - malai
  • 2 cups - onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 10 flakes Garlic
  • 1 piece ginger, peeled
  • 5 Green chillies
  • 1 tbsp - coriander leaves, chopped
  • 10 to 12 Cashewnuts
  • ΒΌ tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 3 tsp - Ghee
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Basic Malai Korma:

    1. Make a smooth paste of ginger and garlic.
    2. Break cashew nuts into small bits.
    3. Heat ghee, fry cashew nuts, drain and keep aside.
    4. In the same hot ghee, add chopped onions, fry for 2 mins.
    5. Add ground paste, salt, green chillies and turmeric powder.
    6. Add tomato and cook till oil separates from the gravy.
    7. Add cream, stir and cook well.
    8. Simmer for 2 mins.
    9. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and fried cashew bits.
    10. Serve hot with roti or naan.
