Ingredients

  • 1.75 cups - all purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups - milk
  • 1/3 cup - cooking oil
  • 1.5 cups - sugar
  • 2.5 tsps - baking powder
  • 1.5 tsps - salt
  • 1- beaten egg

How to Make Basic Muffins

  • In a large mixing bowl stir together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Make a well in the centre.
  • Combine egg, milk and oil. Add egg mixture all at once to the flour mixture.
  • Stir till moistened. Butter should be lumpy.
  • Grease muffin cups or line with paper bake cups, till 2/3 full.
  • Bake at 200 degree C in an oven for 20 to 25 mins. or till golden brown.
  • Remove from pans; serve warm.
