  • 1.25 cups - milk, previously boiled
  • 3/4 cup - water
  • 5 to 6 - fresh Basil leaves
  • 2.25 tsp - Sugar
  • 1.5 tsp - ctc tea
  • 1/4 tsp - chai masala powder
  • 1 - cardamom, smashed freshly

How to Make Basil Flavoured Tea

  • Heat water. Add tea leaves, basil leaves and simmer for 2-3 minutes till water is dark brown.
  • Add cardamom, chai masala, sugar, and boil for 1 more minute.
  • Add milk, bring to a boil again.
  • Simmer, till colour is as per your taste.
  • Take off fire, cover, and stand for 1 minute.
  • Strain with a tea strainer.
  • Pour into teacups and serve piping hot with biscuits.
