Ingredients

  • 500 g - fish fillets
  • 1/2 cup - Vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • 1 cup - besan (chickpeas flour)
  • 1/2 cup - Rice flour
  • 2 tsp - Ginger Garlic paste
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 2 tsp - fennel (saunf), crushed
  • 1/2 tsp - cooking soda
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to deep fry
  • How to Make Batter Fried Fish Fingers:

    1. Cut the fillets into fingers.
    2. Mix with vinegar and salt. Leave aside for 15 minutes.
    3. Squeeze out the excess moisture from fish gently and pat dry between two sheets of kitchen paper.
    4. Combine all the ingredients from besan to salt.
    5. Add enough water to make coating batter.
    6. Dip fingers in batter and deep fry. Drain on kitchen paper.
    7. Serve hot with mint chutney or tomato sauce.
