Ingredients

  • 1 kg - kappa/tapioca
  • 1/2 kg - beef (boneless, cut into very small pieces)
  • 1 cup - onion (chopped)
  • 4 - green chillies (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp - ginger, garlic paste
  • 1 - tomato (chopped)
  • Curry leaves
  • 1 cup - grated coconut
  • 1/2 cup - coconut pieces (roasted in oil)
  • 1/2 cup - oil
  • 1 tsp - mustard seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp - red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • Coriander leaves, to garnish

How to Make Beef kappa puzhukku

  • Cut the kappa into small pieces and cook and keep aside.
  • Heat some oil in a cooker and saute onion, ginger garlic paste and chillies. Finally add the chopped tomatoes
  • To this, add red chilli powder, turmeric powder and the beef with enough salt and water and cook till done.
  • When the beef is cooked enough add the grated coconut and cooked kappa and mix all together.
  • Add the roasted coconut pieces also.
  • In another pan, heat some oil and splutter the mustard seeds and curry leaves and mix with the beef kappa.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
