Ingredients

  • 1 kg - kappa/tapioca
  • 1/2 kg - Beef (boneless, cut into very small pieces)
  • 1 cup - Onion (chopped)
  • 4 - Green chillies (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp - ginger, Garlic paste
  • 1 - Tomato (chopped)
  • Curry leaves
  • 1 cup - grated Coconut
  • 1/2 cup - Coconut pieces (roasted in oil)
  • 1/2 cup - oil
  • 1 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • Coriander leaves, to garnish
  • How to Make Beef kappa puzhukku:

    1. Cut the kappa into small pieces and cook and keep aside.
    2. Heat some oil in a cooker and saute onion, ginger garlic paste and chillies. Finally add the chopped tomatoes
    3. To this, add red chilli powder, turmeric powder and the beef with enough salt and water and cook till done.
    4. When the beef is cooked enough add the grated coconut and cooked kappa and mix all together.
    5. Add the roasted coconut pieces also.
    6. In another pan, heat some oil and splutter the mustard seeds and curry leaves and mix with the beef kappa.
    7. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
