Ingredients

  • 500 gm - besan
  • 500 gm - sugar
  • 250 gm - thickened coconut milk
  • 1 tsp - vanilla essence
  • ghee for frying
  • cardamom for flavoring
  • few cashewnuts

How to Make Besan Burfi

  • Mix besan with 4 tbsp of ghee and keep aside.
  • After 10 mins, rub the ghee into the besan till it resembles bread crumbs.
  • Fry this in a little butter till light golden.
  • Mix sugar with a little water, boil till it becomes light brown.
  • Pour this on the besan-ghee mixture. Mix well.
  • Transfer it into a greased plate.
  • Cool and cut into pieces.
