Ingredients

  • 2 tsp - Toor Dal
  • 2 tsp - Urad Dal
  • 2 tsp - Coriander seeds
  • 2 tsp - Channa dal
  • 1 tsp - Rice
  • 1 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp - pepper Corn
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - vendium seeds
  • 1 - tamarind, Lemon sized
  • Few stalk - Curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 5 to 6 - small onions, sliced lengthwise
  • salt as required
  • 1 can - black eye bean
  • How to Make Black-eyed bean Kulambu:

    1. Dry fry the dal, seeds and rice other than mustard seeds.
    2. Grind the fried ingredients along with red chilli powder.
    3. Add oil in a pan season with mustard seeds and curry leaves, then add onions and saute it for a while.
    4. Now add the ground ingredients and fry it for some time.
    5. Now add the tamarind extract, turmeric powder, black eye bean and salt.
    6. Boil it for about 5 t0 10 minutes.
    7. Serve hot with rice.
