Ingredients

  • Black eyed beans - 1 cup (soaked overnight)
  • Medium Onions - 2
  • Ginger paste - 1/2 tbsp
  • Garlic paste - 1/2 tbsp
  • Chicken masala - 2 tbsps
  • Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Oil - 1/4 cup
  • Curry leaves - a few
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Black Eyed Bean Masala:

    1. Pressure cook the beans adding salt.
    2. Finely chop the onions.
    3. In a kadai heat oil, season curry leaves.
    4. Add chopped onion and fry till golden brown.
    5. Add ginger, garlic paste and saute for a few seconds.
    6. Add the powders and saute for a few seconds.
    7. Add salt, cooked beans and cook till the oil separates.
    8. Serve hot with any kind of rice or Indian bread.
