How to Make Black Night Shade Arai Puli Vatha Kuzhambu

  • Soak tamarind in water.Extract the juice and keep aside.
  • In a heavy bottomed vessel, add oil followed by urad dal and channa dal.
  • Stir fry for some time till they turn brown and then add asafoetida and curry leaves.
  • With this,add black night shade and stir well.
  • Now, add sambhar powder, salt and tamarind extract.
  • Boil till the raw smell goes away.
  • Once the mixture gets thickened, add coconut milk.
  • Tasty Black Night Shade Arai Puli Vatha Kuzhambu is ready and serve hot with rice and dal with dollops of ghee.
